Burn down herbicide

A burndown herbicide is a non-selective or broad-spectrum weed killer used to clear out existing weeds and cover crops before a new crop is planted. Burndown applications are a staple of no-till and conservation tillage farming. While they effectively kill the green vegetation currently growing, they typically do not prevent new weeds from popping up a few weeks later.
